"The Summer of Peace": Lewis & Clark Signature Event in Idaho

Commemorating Lewis and Clark's return trip through northern Idaho in 1806, “The Summer of Peace: Among the Nimiipuu” will pay tribute to the historic, cultural and natural legacies associated with the expedition’s return journey in 1806 and the significant impact the Nimiipuu (Nez Perce) people had on the success of the expedition. Lewiston, Idaho, will host The Summer of Peace activities over two weeks, June 5-17, with key signature events scheduled for June 14-17, 2006.
