How You Can Ride Portland's Aerial Tram for Free

By February 5, 2007

Follow me on:

After years of controversy and hoopla, the Portland Aerial Tram is now open to the public. The tram's two bubble-shaped gondolas, nicknamed "Walt" and "Jean," have proven to be a popular attraction for tourists and natives. During the month of February, every Friday night (6 to 10 pm) and all day Saturday free tram rides will be available to the public. The Portland Aerial Tram runs from the South Waterfront terminal at the OHSU Center for Health & Healing to the upper terminal on OHSU's main campus.
