Looking for an Affordable Vacation? Try Camping

Saturday June 14, 2008
If you've never tried car camping in the Northwest before, this year of economic hardship might be just the thing to get you to try it. Camping is an awesome way to get away from it all, and you don't have to drive very far to do it. Once there, you can park the car and forget about it as you take advantage of all the fun activities available to campers -hiking, fishing, and silly talks around the campfire included. David Sweet, About.com's Guide to "Camping", has put together an excellent article about camping on a budget. He provides a great summary of the fees you'll be expected to pay, as well as the cost of the basic camping gear you'll want to pack.
