Anchorage Gets New Convention Center
Sunday September 7, 2008
This month Anchorage’s newly completed and state-of-the-art Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center opens for meetings and events. The new center has 215,000 square feet of meeting and trade show space, including a ballroom, exhibit hall, executive board room, breakout rooms, and an outdoor heated deck. Alaska Native art and Alaska wilderness art appear throughout the building. The Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center connects to the existing William A. Egan Center and the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts via an enclosed skybridge and covered walkways, so convention-goers can move between venues in comfort, no matter the season.

FYI – the convention center is not connected to the other two venues.
Read again – it is connected by “sidewalks”
