Yellowstone: Land to Life - New Film on PBS

On September 8, PBS will premiere Yellowstone: Land to Life on Yellowstone National Park's geo-ecosystem. Most visitors to Yellowstone don't realize they're standing on one of the world's largest active volcanoes. The new film, produced and directed by Harpers Ferry Center filmmaker John Grabowska, tells the fascinating geological story of Yellowstone, focusing on the region's ancient glaciation, the uplifted Rocky Mountains, and the volcanic hotspot and its gigantic caldera. The film examines the variety of life that exists in Yellowstone's unique landscape and reveals the close connections between the park's biology and geology.
