Hot Northwest Destinations for 2013

Several Northwest US cities and destinations have shown up on recently-published 2013 hot spot lists. Lonely Planet's top 10 US destinations for 2013 include Fairbanks, the San Juan Islands, and Glacier National Park. Fodor's 2013 "Go List", which recommends travel destinations around the globe, includes Portland, Oregon, citing the local food scene as a major attraction.
