Wintertime Balloon Roundup in Washington's Methow Valley

The bright colors of hot air balloons scattered across the blue sky. A river valley, blanketed in white, with snow-capped mountains in the distance. These two delightful images don't normally go together. The serenity of hot air ballooning and a winter landscape combine at Winthrop's Balloon Roundup. This late winter event will bring together over a dozen hot air balloons to ride the sky over Washington's Methow Valley. The balloons will launch from a location behind the Winthrop Inn. On Saturday evening, you can take in the Nighttime Balloon Glow event.  Sounds like fun! This year's Winthrop Balloon Roundup will take place March 1-3, 2013.
