About.com Guide to Northwest US Travel

Looking for answers to your Northwest travel and recreation questions? If you can't find the information you need on my web site, the next best place to look for answers is in the "About Northwestern United States for Visitors" forum.

Like all the Guides at About.com, I'm a real person. You can email me at gonw.guide@about.com.

F.A.Q.

  1. Q. How can I submit a link for inclusion in the "About Northwestern United States for Visitors" web site?
    A. If you run a web site that is relevant to travel and recreation in the Northwestern United States, feel free to submit it for my consideration via e-mail. Note: I do not link to time-sensitive information or to sites that have excessive animation or music.
  2. Q. Does it rain all the time in the Pacific Northwest?
    A. No! And many times when it is raining, it is so light that it will not prevent you from enjoying any outdoor activities. The weather in the Northwest does, however, change frequently, particularly in the regions west of the Cascade Mountains. A day that starts out overcast and drizzly can quickly become gorgeous and cloud-free (and visa versa). So be sure to check the local weather forecast and bring along a hooded jacket.
