1. Pike Place Market

2. The Space Needle

Visitors can take an elevator ride to the Space Needle's observation deck and enjoy 360-degree views of the Puget Sound, the mountains, and the city.

3. International District

Wonderful Asian restaurants, unique shopping, and historic attractions are among the interesting things that draw many day-trippers to the neighborhood.

4. Washington State Ferries

Take advanatage of this relaxing and scenic mode of travel to visit many different Puget Sound locales. Ferry terminals in the Seattle area can be found at Pier 52 on the downtown waterfront, or farther north in the city of Edmonds.

5. Ballard Locks

Watch the Lake Washington Ship Canal locks in operation as they assist boats passing between Lake Union and the Puget Sound.

6. Boeing Factory Tour

The Future of Flight & Boeing Tour allows visitors to get an up-close view of airplane in the final stages of production. The Everett facility builds Boeing's twin-aisle models - 747s, 767s, and 777s.

7. Experience Music Project

Located in Seattle Center at the base of the Space Needle, Experience Music Project (EMP) is an interactive music museum featuring American popular music and rock 'n' roll.

8. Science Fiction Museum & Hall of Fame

The Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame, co-located with the Experience Music Project at Seattle Center, is the United States' only museum devoted exclusively to all things science fiction.
