Visitors to the city center, which is surrounded by Mount Juneau, Mount Roberts, and the waters of Gastineau Channel, will appreciate why Juneau is often considered the most beautiful city in Alaska. Experience the state's colorful heritage, including its Native, Russian, and pioneer roots, through the many downtown attractions, including the Alaska State Museum and the Red Dog Saloon. Venture beyond Juneau - by land, sea, or air - and relish spectacular mountain, forest, and glacier views.
