Top 6 Places to Have Brunch in Seattle/Tacoma

By Angela Brown, About.com

Brunch is a great way to spend quality time with friends and family, whether you're celebrating a special occasion, or just enjoying each other's company. Here are some local Seattle/Tacoma brunch spots that I have enjoyed.

1. Salty's

Salty's offers a fabulous Sunday brunch seafood buffet. In addition to such seafood selections as Dungeness crab and oysters, you will enjoy fresh pastries, an omelette bar, unique salads, and a selection of desserts. Salty's has waterfront locations on Alki Beach and on Redondo Beach. There is also a location on the Columbia River down in Portland, Oregon.

2. Anthony's

Anthony's offers a Sunday brunch menu that includes both breakfast and lunch items. Along with your order you will get a seasonal fresh fruit platter and homemade coffeecake. Anthony's has several restaurants throughout the Puget Sound region; brunch is offered at their Shilshole Bay, Edmonds, Kirkland, Gig Harbor, Everett, and Des Moines locations.

3. Chandler's Crabhouse

Chandler's Crabhouse on Lake Union offers brunch on both Saturday and Sunday. Menu selections include Dungeness carb omelette, french toast Foster, cioppino, a grilled tuna wrap. Brunch cocktails are also available.

4. Cutters Bayhouse

Enjoy waterfront views with your weekend breakfast at Cutters, located at the north end of Pike Place Market.

5. Newport Bay Restaurant

With locations in Kirkland and the Southcenter area, Newport Bay offers a Sunday brunch that includes both a menu and a buffet. The cold buffet spread has pastries, fruit, cheeses, and dessert items. You can order a hot item from the menu that includes buffet items, or choose just the buffet.

6. Marie Calendars

Marie Calendar offers a full Sunday brunch buffet with hot and cold items. You'll find standard breakfast food, pastries, muffins, lunch items, and, of course, pie. There are locations in Federal Way and Seattle.
