Recommendations for Where to Stay in Downtown Seattle

By , About.com Guide

By choosing to stay in downtown Seattle, you'll have access to a handful of the city's best attractions. Seattle's downtown is relatively walkable, if you take it easy on the hilly parts. Even if you hate walking, public transportation in the form of buses, the light rail, or the street car can help you move about within downtown Seattle. You might also choose a hotel in Seattle's downtown because you are attending a conference at a major event venue such at the Sheraton, the Washington State Convention & Trade Center, the Westin, or Bell Harbor International Conference Center.

Here are my recommendations for downtown Seattle hotels that are within reasonable walking distance of such attractions as Pioneer Square, Pike Place Market, and the Seattle waterfront.
