Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area, located outside of Boise, offers long ski seasons and over 2,600 acres if skiable terrain. Big Sky offers lots and lots of terrain for skiers and snowboarders - 150 named runs covering over 85 miles on three separate mountains. They also have miles of Nordic and backcountry ski trail. Located just a short drive from Sandpoint, Schweitzer Mountain Resort is a fabulous place for year-round recreation. Skiers at Mt. Bachelor Ski Resort have access to 71 runs over 3,683 acres accessible by lift, with 1,600 acres groomed daily. Located in northwest Washington, 49 Degrees North is a great mountain for skiers of all levels, from newbies to expert. The longest run on the mountain, Lost Dutchman, covers 2.5 miles.
