Note: The Coldwater Ridge Visitor Center was permanently closed after November 5, 2007

The focus at the Coldwater Ridge Visitor Center is the recovery of plant and animal life within the Mount St. Helens blast zone. The quarter-mile Winds of Change Interpretive Trail explains the devastating effects of the volcano's eruption on Coldwater Ridge and the subsequent events that have brought about the ongoing recovery of life. The center offers a "video-wall theater program", educational exhibits, a book shop, and a snack bar. Interpretive talks are available.
