Glass Art
The Northwest is noted for its colorful glass art from Dale Chihuly and the Pilchuk School. Art works can be seen at museums, galleries, and public venues throughout the region.

Theatre
Seattle is second only to New York City in the number of professional equity theatres. Musicals such as Hairspray and Princesses premiered in Seattle before moving on to Broadway. The annual Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland draws visitors from throughout the US.

Music & Dance
Northwest cities such as Seattle, Portland, and Eugene are home to professional symphonies, ballet companies, and opera. A variety of live music can be found at city bars and nightclubs. Country music is king in the rural areas of the Inland Northwest.
